The Stars recently had been finding victories and feeling the confidence that comes with winning. This was a different Stars team than the one in October and November, the one that couldn't muster anything, that was giving up goals left and right and being outplayed in so many games.
Thursday night, the Stars looked too much like that lousy team again. And that one night has knocked down the confidence of a group that doesn't need any setbacks.
Coming off an ugly 6-1 loss to Detroit in which they were manhandled, the Stars really have only one choice: Get back up, dust yourself off and get the ball rolling again.
"It's a big wakeup call," defenseman Stephane Robidas said.
